As we kick into high gear servicing our BGA customers and close out year-end business, I’m excited to share that our MassMutual Strategic Distributors (MMSD) Underwriting team has also been hard at work with rolling out new underwriting resources.
MMSD’s Underwriting Digital Hub
First, we are thrilled to be launching our new Underwriting website on the MMSD Digital Hub. Here you will find all the guidelines and resources that were released throughout the year in one place – for Life Insurance, and Disability Income Insurance as well.
Ordering and Reimbursement of Underwriting Requirements
To help provide guidance on reimbursements on APS orders for formal applications and exam/lab orders, take a look at our newly released Ordering and Reimbursement of Underwriting Requirements Guide.
Upcoming Impairment Guidelines
Similar to the Coronary Artery Disease impairment guidelines available today, our plans for next year include the release of the following topics:
- Age/amount chart with brief descriptions
- Internal retention for whole life and term insurance coverage
- Basic financial guidelines (e.g., income factor, non-earning spouse, estate conservation, buy/sell, etc.)
