Pre-Appointment Reminder for FL, PA, PR, SC, and WA

In the states of FL, NY, PA, PR, SC, and WA, appointments cannot be backdated. Producers are allowed to solicit immediately upon contracting with the insurer. However, FL and SC can be backdated, but they still necessitate appointment prior to the new business application due to requiring a background check beforehand. When an insurer contracts with a producer, the appointment’s effective date corresponds with the contract’s effective date.
