Medical Records Retrieval – Important Update

Effective February 6, 2023, Human API will begin sending email status updates* on Medical Record requests during the retrieval process. This enhancement will apply to new Medical Records requests that are created on and after February 6, 2023. Email status updates will originate from notification@humanapi.co and will provide greater transparency into our Medical Records process with Human API. You can look forward to receiving the following notifications when Medical Records are requested:

• Special Authorization – This notification will be sent when a Special Authorization is needed and will include a link to upload the completed form.
• Connect Declined Notifications – This notification will be sent when the client declines to connect their patient portal. Human API will still pivot to obtain an attending physician statement through ReleasePoint.
• Order Update – This notification will be sent if electronic health records are not available. Human API will still pivot to obtain an attending physician statement through ReleasePoint.

*Email status updates are intended to supplement Web Case Status and will be sent to only the GA Case Manager for all brokerage cases and the financial professional for Prudential Advisors cases.
