Update on e-Delivered Policies

To help better protect customer information, we recently began making signed policy packets and Part B draft copies available via our secure customer and financial professional websites. We’ll stop sending these documents via email in the near future.

Beginning October 31, upon successful eSignature completion of the policy issue packet, an email will be sent to the owner (for individually- and trust-owned policies) and the insured informing them the completed policy packet is available via principal.com and how to access it in the “Doc Locker.” The field office contact and financial professional will also receive a similar email. The completed policy packet will no longer be attached to the email.

Financial professionals with credentials for our financial professional website (or staff with delegate access) will be able to search and access Part B draft copies and signed policy documents for the policies they’re associated with using the “Client Correspondence” feature.

How this works
On the Client Correspondence page, select the correspondence type of “Policy Document”, then select the appropriate sub-type, i.e., “All Categories/Part B Draft Copy/Signed Policy Document”, to search the documents.
