2020 IRA Contribution Deadlines
The IRS has extended the deadline for 2020 IRA contributions. Due to this extension, our deadlines have also changed. Payments intended for 2020 contributions must be received by these dates:
- Checks: 2020 IRA contributions by check must be postmarked to the Principal Life Insurance Company by May 17, 2021.
- Wires: 2020 IRA contributions being sent via wire must be received at the Principal Life Insurance Company by May 17, 2021.
If you intend for a payment to be a 2020 contribution, it must be noted on the check or the wire transmittal form.
