Introducing Ryan Richey, Chief Administrative Officer

Allow me to update you on an exciting change to the leadership team at Lafayette Life Insurance Company. One of the three main strategies of our leadership team is to create and implement a scalable and efficient delivery platform. This includes how our teams interact with our agents and policyholders, as well as the tools and capabilities used to deliver our solutions. As a commitment to this strategic imperative, this change further enhances and accelerates our ability to deliver on this important strategy. 

Therefore, I am pleased to share that Ryan Richey has joined our team as Chief Administrative Officer for Lafayette Life. Ryan will also serve in this role for our sister company at Western & Southern Financial Group, Columbus Life. As CAO, Ryan collaborates with the senior leadership team in helping execute the company’s mission and vision to achieve our financial and strategic business plans. He has responsibility for the continued enhancement of the operational quality, support and interactions provided to our producers and customers, working with our shared service partners and internal wholesale teams. Ryan reports directly to me.

Ryan joins us with 21 years of experience with Western & Southern. Ryan holds bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics and Economics from Ohio University. He joined our actuarial department in 2003. He received his Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries in 2009. Ryan became AVP, Actuarial Life Products in 2014, and most recently VP, Product Actuarial in 2021. In his most recent role, Ryan was responsible for enterprise product pricing, risk and profitability. In all of his roles, he has demonstrated a strong level of collaboration, sound business judgement and unwavering commitment to our long-term success. 

I am very excited with the addition of Ryan and the continued investment we are making in our talent, growth and long-term success of Lafayette Life. Over the next few months Ryan will be meeting with a number of our agents and agencies, as well as attending our sales conference this summer.
