Keeping You Up to Date Just Got Easier!

At Athene, we know it’s important to keep you informed of your pending applications during the New Business process. That’s why we invested in an exciting initiative designed to enhance our new business communication process. Effective March 22, we will begin offering:  

  • Improved NIGO (“not in good order”) email communications.
  • New email notifications designed to proactively keep you informed of your pending applications during the New Business process.

Improved NIGO email communications

With our improved NIGO email communications, you will experience the following benefits:

  • New look including enhanced content and a link to our service level processing guide.
  • Shorter cycle time of up to two business days for initial NIGO emails for pending applications that do not have outstanding suitability requirements.
  • The NIGO email will be sent after all in house paperwork has been reviewed and will provide a full view of current New Business and Suitability (if applicable) outstanding requirements (including licensing and contracting requirements or producer training issues).
  • Emails will automatically be sent to the stored NIGO contact preference set by your Marketing Organization or Financial Institution during one of the 5 cycle times (9 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. CT).
  • Follow‑up emails will include both outstanding and satisfied requirements.

The NIGO email will include the options for submitting outstanding requirements along with whether the requirements must come from the client and/or producer.

New email notifications to proactively keep you informed of key milestones along the way

Also beginning 3/22 you may receive the following automated emails informing you of where we are in the new business process:

  • Requirement status update: This email will provide notification when all outstanding requirements have been satisfied. It will also include a full list of satisfied requirements.
  • Suitability status update: This email will provide notification when Suitability review (if applicable) is approved.
  • Transfer paperwork status update: This email will provide notification when transfer paperwork has been sent to request premium from another carrier (if applicable).
  • Contract status update: This email will provide notification when a contract has been issued.
     

These notifications are also automated and will generate based on the preference set by your Marketing Organization or Financial Institution each time a pending applications reaches each of these applicable milestones. The notifications will be sent during one of the 5 cycle times (9 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. CT) with the exception of contracts that are issued. The 9 a.m. CT cycle will include the notifications for contracts issued the prior business day. All emails will be sent from noreply@atheneservicing.com. This will replace NewBusinessCommunication@athene.com, which will no longer be utilized.  

You may also choose to receive a daily summary report in addition to or in lieu of the above notifications.

  • New Business Daily Summary: This email will provide a holistic view of all applications that have reached one of the major New Business milestones (Requirement Update, Suitability Approved, Transfer Sent, Contract Issue) that day. The summary email will generate at the end of each day with the 7 p.m. CT cycle.

Although this information will remain available via Athene Connect, this enhanced process will keep you informed on a more regular basis throughout the application process.
