Reminder: Producer Sales Practice Manual Updated

The Producer Sales Practices Manual has been revised to reflect the following updates:

• Annuity Suitability Standards section under Standard of Care has
  been modified to State Annuity Suitability Standards and New Best
  Interest Standard in Certain States. Modifications include state-level
  suitability standards, as well as the four Producer obligations under the
  Best Interest Standard (Care, Disclosure, Material Conflicts of Interest,
  and Documentation).
• Additional details have been added regarding the following sections or
  topics:
  • New York Regulation 187 producer obligations
  • SEC Regulation Best Interest “safe harbor” for recommendations and
    sales of variable annuities
  • Annuity Illustrations
  • Resolving formal complaints
