Suitability State Training Requirements for Arkansas Effective 07/01/21

Effective July 1, 2021, you are required to adhere to new disclosure and documentation requirements for all solicitations occurring in the state of Arkansas. In anticipation of these changes, you must also complete state training on these new requirements.

Training course

A newly approved, four-hour NAIC training course has been developed to incorporate these requirements. Producers who have already taken the previously required four-hour course have the option to take this new course or take an additional state approved, one-hour specific course.

If a producer hasn’t taken the existing four-hour NAIC course as of Jan. 1, 2021, they will have to take and pass a newly-approved, four-hour course that incorporates the past requirements, plus the new requirements, prior to soliciting an application.

PLEASE NOTE: For solicitations in Arkansas, the previous four-hour annual course required with licensure has been replaced with a one-time, four-hour training requirement that incorporates the NAIC Regulation #275 changes.

Course providers

This training is provided by third-party continuing education providers. Please refer to the “State and Federal Training Requirements” Form  for the training required in the solicitation state.

We will notify you of additional obligations under the revised NAIC Suitability Regulation #275 closer to the July 1, 2021, state adoption date.
