OneAmerica® Care Solutions, in collaboration with Ensight, is excited to announce the availability of a first-of-its-kind offering, to support more effective long-term care (LTC) conversations between financial professionals and their clients.
Rather than relying solely on quote numbers, this interactive tool can enhance client sales experiences through storytelling. The storytelling approach can help financial professionals and clients connect to understand the problem at hand and make educated choices on LTC protection strategies. With nearly 70% of individuals aged 65 and older needing some form of long-term care services in their lifetime*, this new storytelling capability can create additional opportunities for meaningful conversations.
A recent study conducted by OneAmerica and Hanover Research revealed that long-term care planning is often neglected, or in many cases avoided as a discussion topic between clients and their financial professionals. The research discovered that only 54% of the financial professionals surveyed are having long-term care planning conversations with their clients. It also found that 21% of financial professionals have never offered LTC coverage, and 25% offered it at some point but no longer do.
