Intensive Care Unit Rider to be Discontinued Effective 01/01/2025

Effective January 1, 2025, the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) rider will be discontinued on the Critical Advantage portfolio.

This only applies to new business and will not impact any polices that are inforce.

Transition Rules:

• The ICU Rider will no longer be available on the e-Application for Critical Advantage portfolio effective December 1st
• Paper applications can continue to be processed with the ICU rider, but they must have a signed date no later than December 13th and must be received in the home office by December 20th.
• All Critical Advantage applications with the ICU rider attached must be approved and placed on or before December 31st.

Materials Update
Marketing materials and applications, both paper and electronic, will reflect this change. E-applications will be updated on December 1st and paper application will be updated on Forms and Materials after December 13th.
