Helpful transition information for Ascent Pro 10 Bonus
California, Maryland and Virginia will continue to offer the Ascent Pro 10 Bonus product without the enhancements, until further notice.
As previously communicated, applications signed on or before August 9, 2024, will receive the existing Ascent Pro 10 Bonus, even for contracts issued after this date. Note that a rate change that was effective July 6 decreased payout factors effective July 6. Consequently:
- Pending applications received on or before August 9 that are eligible for the rate lock, will not receive the higher premium bonus.
- Pending applications received on or before August 9 that are were not eligible for the rate lock, will receive the higher premium bonus. While we cannot reissue contracts, any pending business will receive the new rates if the contract date is on or after August 10, 2024.
All applications in approved states, signed on or after August 10, 2024, will receive the enhanced product.
Forms have been updated. Be sure to use up-to-date materials when offering Athene annuities including the revised Ascent Pro 10 Bonus application packet available on Athene Connect.
If you previously completed Ascent Pro 10 Bonus training, no additional training will be required to sell the enhanced product.
