Idaho Regulation Changes Materials Available
Effective March 1, Idaho will be changing their rating structure on their Medicare supplement plans. Idaho will be moving from an Issue Age rated state to a Community rated state. Idaho has also created a new annual period to allow policyholders to purchase any other Medicare supplement policy on a guaranteed issue basis.
- Annual enrollment lasting 63 days, beginning on an individual’s birthday, during which time an individual may replace any Medicare supplement policy with a policy of equal or lesser benefits.
- Coverage will not be made effective prior to the individual’s birthday or beyond 60 days from the application date.
- Documentation should be included verifying plan information when submitting applications.
- Applications can be taken March 1.
Effective March 1, 2022, Omaha Insurance Company (OIC) will no longer be offering a High Deductible Plan F, in Idaho. The last day to submit OIC High Deductible Plan F applications is February 28, 2022.
