The Growth within Actual IUL Policies

From March 10, 2020 to March 10, 2021, the S&P 500 was up 35.27%! This led to another phenomenal month of performance for our IUL policyholders, especially those in the Uncapped Strategy. For Income Advantage IUL, policyholders who had an accumulation value in the March bucket earned:

  • 10% on the 100% Participation Rate Strategy
  • 8% on the High (140%) Participation Rate Strategy
  • 21.16% on the Uncapped Strategy

You can see how all of our inforce IUL policies have performed using our Historical Crediting and Renewal Rate Flyers below.

Not many carriers will provide you with their crediting and renewal rate history, and there is a reason for that. Oftentimes, you will find that carriers will give their new customers higher participation rates and caps to get them in the door, but they start to gradually decrease the renewal rates for existing clients. At Mutual of Omaha, our new customers and existing customers have always received the same participation and cap rates. And, to prove it to you, we publish this information monthly in our Historical Crediting and Renewal Rate Flyer.

These flyers can be found on the Sales Professional Access website. Just go to the Indexed UL product page and you will find a link to the flyers within the product details columns. Your clients can also access these flyers when they look up their policy details in the Customer Access Center.
